Bhote Koshi, The Central Hills, Nepal

Our last little jaunt, in my last week, to The Last Resort. Named so, as it’s one of about 5 adventure resorts on the Arniko Highway, and the ‘last’ or closest to the Tibetan border 15km away.

The Last Resort is famous for Nepal’s first/only/highest bungee jump, which – are you out of your minds – is NOT why we are here. It also does White Water Rafting & Canyoning, and you get to stay in posh tents in the great outdoors. It’s $40 euros a night, which is steep for the pleasure, but what the hell.

‘Canyoning’ – we found out whilst volunteering to do it from the comfort of a sunlounger in a nice manicured garden –  is absailing down waterfalls. Over 2/3 hours you slip and slide nimbly down limestone rocks, whilst really getting into the thick of it with water cascading over your head. Sounds horrific. Is actually good fun. You learn something new every day.

An.an.tas.in : The Anantasin is the name of a shipwreck just of the coast of the Sensi Parasise, Mae Haad Bay, Koh Tao, Thailand. It’s one of my many favorite places.

Lit.tle: Just because it’s cute.
