Baby backpacker…

The next adventure?…Our own little baby backpacker to introduce to the world.

True to style, our bub is a special souvenir from somewhere along the Trans Siberian express route, 4 months ago.

So blog, I apologise for the sparseness of my postings from Albania & Turkey, written at the peak of morning sickness. I owe my last drop of energy to my Bangkok supply of Thai ginger tea (a miracle for nausea) & the lovely Albanian guesthouse mother who searched Berat old town for bananas for me (the miracle of potassium.) The universal delight of explaining “bambino” in any language, brings a whole new league of random acts of kindness from strangers. Not to mention the comedy gold of your dad and I trying to translate a Croat pregnancy test from a pharmacy in Hvar :)

Before your world changes upside down they tell you to write a letter to your baby… Well kid, there’s two things you should know. We hope you inherit the travel bug. The world is yours, explore! And 2) There’s zero doubt your dad and I will be gate-crashing your gap year in 18 years time! Just remember, we were both at Full Moon Parties back when they were still cool. X

We’re 31 & 33 so all good & settled nesting in Melbourne now. We’re from UK / Australia & have been working/living together in Singapore for 2 years (I’ve realised it could all read like a random backpacker Trans Siberian express encounter! ha ha.) #61 countries so far and there’s always more on the bucket list, so hopefully we can combine a love for travel & baby… exciting times! x

Connecting to %s : The Anantasin is the name of a shipwreck just of the coast of the Sensi Parasise, Mae Haad Bay, Koh Tao, Thailand. It’s one of my many favorite places.

Lit.tle: Just because it’s cute.
